Sophie Stallings

Hello! My name is Sophie Stallings and I am a junior here at the University of Alabama. I am majoring in finance and minoring in real estate. I have always had an interest in math and numbers, which led me to finance. I am very excited to pursue my passion. This summer,  I plan to get an internship at a financial firm in Louisville, Kentucky (my hometown). I am on the Design Team for Mosaic, and I am very excited to see all the amazing work my team and I will do. 

Family is very important to me, which made coming to Alabama a very difficult decision. I toured my junior year of high school and fell in love with the campus, but it was not until March of my senior year that I was finally able to make up my mind. Since making that decision, I have never looked back, and it is easy to say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Here at Alabama, I am in a sorority, in the Honors College and a part of Best Buddies. I am also planning to join Al’s Pal’s this semester because of my love for working with kids. Community Service is also very important to me, and I have gotten involved in my community in various ways. For example,  I have tutored students at Holt Highschool to help prepare them for the ACT, I have volunteered at Temporary Emergency Services, and I have been a part of numerous philanthropy events through my sorority. 

My hobbies include reading, working out, spending time with friends, and skiing! I also used to play soccer and tennis growing up, which I still love to do. Traveling is also one of my favorite hobbies. I plan to study abroad and get a second minor in International Business. I think it would be such a fantastic opportunity to live in another country for 4 months and get to study and learn more about their culture. My family and I travel a lot, and one of my favorite memories comes from when we used to go to a small town in Michigan and be on the lake. We got to spend so much time together playing board games, sitting around the fire, and going boating. 

I am so excited to be a part of the Mosaic team this year and be able to help create and share incredible stories!  I am on the Design Team for Mosaic, and I am very excited to see all the amazing work my team and I will do.
