Grace Presbyterian Church-More Light Presbyterians

More Light Presbyterians are individual members and congregations of the Presbyterian Church who are faithful to God’s call and believe that God continues to open new understandings of scripture. More Light Presbyterians seek to make the Church a truly hospitable community and to encourage the participation of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people of faith to participate fully in the faith in the life, ministry, and witness of the Presbyterian Church. Grace Presbyterian Church is the first More Light Presbyterian church in the state of Alabama.

Unitarian Universalist Church

Unitarian Universalist Church engages in intentional lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer welcoming ministry. The Church has an UPLIFT platform for both LGBT Ministries and Trans/Non-Binary Monthly Gatherings.  UPLIFT is a platform for the UUC to highlight LGBTQ+ issues and concerns in the church.

Canterbury Episcopal Chapel

Working alongside Spectrum, Canterbury Episcopal Church is working to create a supportive community for LGBT students as well as their allies. The main goal of the expansion of SPECTRUM is to reach not only the students on UA’s campus but also act as the voice of the younger LGBT population of Tuscaloosa.
