Best Buddies UA is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that was founded in 1993 to focus on establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Best Buddies UA matches college students with people with disabilities to create a one-to-one friendship connection to encourage them to explore life in a new way. In the past, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities have not had the opportunity to have friends outside of their own, often isolated, environment This is a great way to meet fellow students who have similar values of inclusivity!
