Hello!
My name is Haylee Smith. I am a senior biology major with a minor through the Blount Scholars Program. I grew up in Athens, Alabama.
When I go back home, I spend time with my family- mom, little brother, Belle the dog, and Bast and Toby the cats- and my fiancé who graduated from UA last year. When the weather warms up, my whole little clan can be found spending time on the Elk River, one of my favorite places. When I have some time to myself throughout the year, I enjoy doing some of my hobbies, which include reading, playing video games, swimming, and baking.
I am very excited to round out my college career trying something new. I have always been interested in the practices of journalism and am looking forward to experiencing all that working with the Mosaic team has to offer!
