Why did you choose to join the Honors College?

“I chose to be in the Honors College in order to take classes with fewer people and have the opportunity to take classes outside my major that were challenging.”

What is your favorite class you have taken in the Honors College?

“My favorite class that I’ve taken is Deeply Rooted with Dr. Mock. This course was a unique opportunity to learn about the history of Black hair and have engaging discussions with other students.”

What has been your favorite part of being in the Honors College?

“My favorite part of being in the Honors College has been taking classes that challenge me to examine my views through a critical lens.”

What advice would you give to those who want to join the Honors College?

“I highly recommend taking a class through the Honors College that surrounds an unfamiliar topic. Taking courses in subjects that I knew very little about has been a great way to grow as a student at UA.”
