SWE is an organization that strives to empower women to pursue and succeed as an engineer. This organization is meant for STEM majors, male or female, to help push women to have the opportunities to achieve full potential for leadership and success in an engineering profession. During the meetings, which take place every Monday, you have the opportunity to hear from engineering professionals about potential job opportunities and career advice. Women that choose to work in a male-dominated field are often not given the same level of respect as their male counterparts and this non-profit organization allows its’ members to not only learn how to achieve their full engineering potential but also recognize the setbacks women face in the industry and try to achieve equality.
