The Mosaic Magazine team had the privilege to speak with author and University of Alabama graduate Winston Groom in honor of the 30th anniversary of his most popular novel, the ever-iconic Forrest Gump, in the spring of 2016. We have decided to rerun this piece, written by former Mosaic editor Emily Williams, photographed by a former photo editor, Nicole Rodriguez and designed by Brian Ogden, in honor of Groom’s passing.
