Al’s Pals – UA’s Mentorship Program

Al’s Pals is a one-on-one mentoring program serving elementary school students in the Tuscaloosa community. Mentors commit to serving one afternoon a week for at least a semester as tutors for under-served children by providing academic assistance, enrichment, and recreational activities for them. Each academic year, Al’s Pals has over 1,000 college students who serve approximately 27,000 hours per academic year as mentors and student leaders within the organization.
