Name: Morgan Byerley

Position: Editorial Team

My name is Morgan Byerley, and I’m a sophomore majoring in international studies and English. Although I graduated high school from Baton, Rogue Louisiana, I’ve lived in six different states and one other country. All this traveling sparked my love for learning about new cultures and languages. Currently, I am learning Korean and German which I hope to use in my future career. I also spent this past summer in South Korea which furthered my interest in language and culture. On campus, I volunteer as a language partner for English and participate in international events such as International Coffee Hour.

Outside of academics, I love to pursue my creative passions. Whether it’s painting a landscape or practicing a new concerto on my violin, I enjoy the creative process. I also enjoy playing in the university’s orchestra where I can learn new pieces and make music with other musicians.

This semester at Mosaic, I’m excited to find new stories to share. I love to write because I love to tell good stories. My goal is to make people think and see the world in a new way. I hope to continue to grow as a writer and push myself to better understand the creative process.
