Have you been feeling overwhelmed with completing your homework assignments while still maintaining a healthy social life? It has been no easy task returning to in person classes after over a year of online learning. It is important to relearn and practice healthy time management skills in order to complete all of your obligations in the least stressful way possible.

Often, I find that writing out a day-to-day calendar can be extremely helpful. It is important to make your daily goals attainable and realistic. Rather than writing “work on 20 page paper” on a single day, try to break it down into smaller tasks. Instead, try planning it out early enough so that you can write 1-2 pages per day.

A big issue when it comes to good time management is screen time. It is easy to take a small break from homework and end up scrolling through social media for hours on end. A good way to minimize this is to set a 10-15 minute timer and once it goes off, it is time to go back to work.

Time management is a practiced skill and not something that comes naturally to most people. However, once you can learn what works for you, it will significantly decrease the stress in your life.
