Name: Grace Anne Sarkisian

Position: Editorial Director

My name is Grace Anne Sarkisian, and I am a second-year writer for Mosaic Magazine, as well as the writing editor. I grew up in the warm weather of Tampa, Florida with my parents, younger brother, and two dogs. Growing up, my family always provided me with all the tools to accomplish my many goals and supported me through the best and worst of times. Choosing the right college was super important to me and I couldn’t have picked a better place than Tuscaloosa to plant my roots. Being in Tuscaloosa for over two years, I have grown into a better person academically, mentally, and spiritually. Tuscaloosa has become a place where I can spread my wings and start the foundation of my future.

I have incredibly big dreams of moving to New York City after college and writing for a big-time magazine publication. I have always been a true writer at heart since I was a little kid and all throughout high school, but it wasn’t until I joined yearbook my junior year of high school that I knew my hobby would turn into my career. I have already been blessed with so many opportunities and I’m so excited to see what the future holds.

My goal as a writer is to not only share the experiences I go through on a daily basis, but for people to be able to read what I write and take something positive from it. I want to have an impact on my readers, even if it is only for two minutes that they spend reading an article I wrote. I am definitely not done growing in my journey as a writer, but I am proud of how far I’ve come and, if you are still reading this, I hope this inspires you to grow in the ways you want and need.
