Name: Loren Reese

Position: Editorial Team

Hi! My name is Loren Reese, and I am from Guntersville, Alabama. I am currently a junior majoring in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Adolescence Youth Development. Currently, I am wanting to attend law school after graduating with my bachelor’s degree. I am very interested in family and juvenile law.

Both of my parents are educators at Guntersville High School. My dad coaches high school football, so I have spent countless hours of my life inside a football stadium. I am looking forward to (hopefully) adding a few more hours this year in Bryant-Denny. I have one older sister named Laine, who started teaching fourth grade in Guntersville this year. Her fiancé, Aron, is in his first year teaching at Guntersville High School. Needless to say, if you go to school in Guntersville, Alabama, you are more than likely to know my family.

I am a big fan of reading cheesy romance novels and binge-watching shows. If you don’t watch an entire show in the shortest amount of time possible, you are not doing it right. I like to have a good mix of true crime documentaries and sitcoms like New Girl. I buy every book that I read because I hope to one day have a small library. Paperback books are superior to hardbacks in every way. Although I can not sing to save my life, I am a big fan of all kinds of music. There’s nothing quite like hearing a soft acoustic song transition into the opening of Hamilton. I love listening to live music, and I am very excited for concerts to start happening again. I am a member of the First College Ministry at FBC Tuscaloosa. I have met lifelong friends there, and I can’t wait to see each of us grow in Christ these next few years.

I am very excited to be a part of the Mosaic editorial team this semester. I’m looking forward to learning lots of new things and meeting new people.
